Radios

Icom IC-9700: phantastic VHF/UHF/SHF radio. great waterfalldiplay with many options, nice and easy to use menu structure. powerfull featureset.

Icom IC-7300: phantastic HF / 6m / 4m radio. great waterfalldiplay with many options, nice and easy to use menu structure. powerfull featureset. moded with a silent fan (Noctua NF-A8 PWM 12V).

Yaesu FT985D: my first choice for portable action. an oldie, but goldie.

Retevis RT95: VHF/UHF portable or stationary radio. tiny but powerfull. handling a little bit on the goofy side. mike was modded by a friendly ham so now it is loud an clear.

CRT Superstar SS 9900: 10m/11m/12m portable or stationary radio. great and simple desing. has everything on board what you would expect and is powerfull as well. no active fan, so it gets very hot.

Handhelds

Yaesu FT-3D: VHF/UHF handheld. nice Display. my first choice to be on air while out of the shack.

TYT UV-8000E: VHF/UHF handheld. powerfull, 10W. X-repeater on board.

Tytera MD-UV 380: VHF/UHF handheld. DMR capability. handling as expected from an DMR device not that great.

Baofeng UV-5R+ Plus: VHF/UHF handheld. cheap as dirt no nonsense radio that works in most cases, but in some cases not so well.

Antennas

Sirtel Santiago 1200: 5/8 mobile antenna used stationary, with a Albrecht 6725 Gamma 2 F 1/4 as vertical counterwight. i call this construct "Frankenstein". works great on 10, 11 and even 15 meters.

HVT-600B: one of those tiny "wonder" antennas that covers 80m to 2m. I was a bit sceptical at first, but this thingy works like a charme on 80m. antenna hight in this configuration is only 1.62m. a solid counterwight is the key! no name yet.

6,5m long Wire: vertical on a GFK beam, endfeed with a 9:1 Balun & 1:1 Unun. not perfect, but good enough to open all HF amateur radio bands to me. named "rute".

DRX111 Livewire: 10/11m 5/8 antenna, used mainly for fieldays. put this thing high enough and it will not dissapoint you.

2 Meter Coaxdipole: selfmade, mostly used horizontaly. great success on various contests.

2 Meter / 70 cm J-Pole: my first selfmade antenna, did built one as a backup or when on tour. got one for spare from DRX111.

6 Meter Coaxdipole: selfmade, used horizontaly. magic!

Other Gear

144 / 28 MHz Transverter: brings your HF-Radio in to the VHF world.

MFJ941 Antenna Tuner: manuel tuning, nice Kreuzzeigerinstrument (german is a beautiful language!).

MFJ-939 Automatic Antenna Tuner: does what it says. tuned any wild antenna so far for me.

NanoVNA: easy to use and cheap antenna analyser made in china. without doubt not as accurate compared to profi equipement but it gives you an good idea whats going on with your antennas.

Realistic PRO-2035 Scanner: oldschool scanner, analog AM/FM only. sometimes i monitor local airtraffic with this thing.

Old Gear that is no longer owned or in use by me

Yaesu FT-450D: HF / 6m radio. phantastic radio for a newbie. great looking. moded with a panadapter.

KW505: SWR/ power meter. used like 2 times by me. works as expected.
